Prix de Lausanne

During the 47th edition of the Prix de Lausanne, widely recognized as one of the world's preeminent ballet dance competitions, 8 young dancers were awarded for their exceptional performance.

Sumina Sasaki, an 18-year-old ballerina from Japan who has been honing her craft at the Tanz Akadmie Zürich, was awarded the Emile Chouriet Prize. Consisting of a scholarship, the prize will allow the young dancer to further perfect her skills in one of the prestigious partner institutions of the Prix de Lausanne around the globe.

As a token of Emile Chouriet's support for the young dancer, Sumina Sasaki received a Fair Lady Ballerina timepiece, whose design evokes the harmonious motions of a ballerina's silk tutu.

Whether in watchmaking or in art forms like dance, Emile Chouriet believes in the safeguarding of tradition and the transmission of knowledge from one generation to the next.
